There are several updates for the local school system as the new year begins. Among them are new principals and construction projects. New School Principals
School Construction Projects There is a new 320,855-square-foot high school (Johns Creek High School) with over 90 classrooms and an enrollment capacity of 1900 on State Bridge Road.
A new elementary school (Birmingham Falls Elementary School) on Birmingham Highway in Milton claims the title of the northern-most school in the district. It serves K-5th grades and is a 116,284-square-foot building with 54 classrooms and an 850 student capacity. Additionally, Findley Oaks Elementary School just had a new roof installed and several of the schools are getting safety, security and comfort updates (digital security, fire alarms and outdoor canopies).
